What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Human Resources Officer position at University Hospital?
Under the general guidance of the Executive Vice President, plans, develops, coordinates, and monitors the implementation of University Hospital policies, programs, and projects designed to recruit, select, utilize, compensate, develop, train, and retain an effective workforce throughout University Hospital. Directs the Human Resources executive/management staff for all Human Resources functional areas including Compensation, Benefits, Labor Relations, Employment, Learning and Organizational Development, and Employee Information Services at University Hospital.
Master’s Degree in Human Resources Administration or a related discipline plus at least ten (10) years of progressively responsible executive experience in Human Resources administration including relevant experience at a university, government agency or health care facility; or any combination of education, experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform executive level duties and responsibilities in this functional area. Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function in a team environment are required. Knowledge of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment is preferred. Equivalent related experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
