Job Description
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiology team. This is a full-time, day shift position; Monday through Friday.
\nPosition Summary:
\n· Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research.
\n· Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research.
\n· Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
\n· Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures
\n· Develop and implement treatment plans
\n· Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
\n· Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self.
\n· Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management.
\n· Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism.
\n· Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review.
\n· Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
\n· Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
\n· Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
\n· Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values
Position Requirements:
\nDemonstrated competence as a practitioner
\nEffective oral and written communication skills
\nA variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area
\nComputers and selected office equipment
\n\n
Experience and Knowledge:
\nDemonstrated leadership skills
\nDemonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships
\n\n
Education/Expertise:
\nNurse Practitioner:
\nNursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice.
\n-or-
\nPhysician Assistant:
\nCompletion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.
\n\n
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):
\nNurse Practitioner:
\nBLS required; ACLS preferred
\nCurrent Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio.
\nCurrent APRN license to practice in Ohio.
\n\n

Physician Assistant:
\nBLS required; ACLS preferred
\nNCCPA-Certified.
