Essential Functions
- Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment

- Organizes and performs tasks efficiently to meet departmental turnaround time standards
- Processes specimens for laboratory testing at a basic level
- Performs Data Entry
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Equivalent / GED High School Diploma or GED Required and
- Formal training from an accredited phlebotomy school or medical assistant program Preferred
- 1 years data entry experience Preferred and
- Previous phlebotomy experience Preferred
- Computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and phlebotomy experience Preferred
- Phlebotomy Certification Preferred
