Institutional Knowledge Map (KMAP) at the University of Arizona is in search of a KMap Web Application Developer (Web Applications Developer II). This position collects, connects, analyzes, and visualizes the institutional knowledge landscape. The KMAP is an advanced data science system that uses many pieces of unstructured data such as grants, abstracts, publications, patents, news, achievements, courses to build the knowledge graph then provides an interactive geographic map alike interface to explore and search information.
The successful candidate for this position will design, develop and modify the KMAP system to enhance KMAP's capabilities. Ideal candidates should have knowledge about handling unstructured data and building complex web interfaces with visualization. The ideal candidates should have practical experience in designing and developing interactive web applications using modern web application frameworks such as nodejs, native react, mapbox framework, etc.
