Summary of Job Duties:
UACCB is accepting applications for part-time Heavy Equipment Operator Instructors (day, evening and weekend) position. The heavy equipment operator teaching positions are appointed on a course-by-course basis, as needed. Courses are separate according to type of equipment including: track dozers, compact track loader, compact track excavator, and backhoe. Course may be scheduled during the day, evening or weekends, depending on student or employer demands.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching students how to safely operate and properly maintain heavy equipment.
Applicants must possess a commitment to quality instruction and student performance.
Maintain appropriate course documentation such as syllabi (includes: objectives, tests, lesson plans, attendance policy, etc.).
Recommend additional instructional supplies, ensure proper storage and security of supplies.
Maintain a clean classroom/lab area.
Available to attend the professional development, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have 3-5 years of professional experience operating heavy equipment.
Valid driver's license and be able to operate a variety of earth moving equipment such as dozer, excavator, and loaders etc.
Teaching and/or supervisory experience.
Physical demands applicants must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualification: Possess a Class A CDL.
