The Green Cluster Administrative Unit consists of several units within the College of Letters & Science’s Division of Social Sciences. The Anthropology and Sociology Departments, along with the Program in Middle East/South Asia Studies are academic units with over 50 senate faculty and approximately 35 non-senate faculty/lecturers.

Job Summary
The Academic Personnel Analyst, under the general supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), provides analytical and administrative support for all actions pertaining to academic personnel matters in the Green Cluster Administrative Unit. This is one of two positions that support the Department of Sociology, Department of Anthropology, and the Program in Middle East/South Asian Studies. This position acts as a resource for academic personnel policy and practice; analyzes reviews, prepares, and processes academic actions, including appointments, merits, promotions, appraisals, recruitments, leaves, changes in status, salary adjustments, appeals, etc; determines eligibility of all academic titles for merits, promotions and appraisals and compiles/prepares dossiers. The position provides administrative and analytical support for the recruitment process for academic positions, and serves as a resource, providing advice, interpretation, and guidance regarding academic personnel issues for directors, faculty, managers, and staff. This position is responsible for faculty sabbatical leaves, key control, event coordination and summer session planning.
