DescriptionIn this role, you will work independently and interdependently to provide care to the patients served. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Performing Cardiac Stress Tests with other qualified personnel under standardized procedure within the clinic site. These tests to include Echo stress Treadmill, Stress Echo with Contrast and Stress Routine Treadmill. Utilizing specialized knowledge and skills for patient care, supervision.
* Utilizing in-depth knowledge to identify and document subtle changes in the patient condition and effectively modify and document changes in nursing care and/or the plan of care to address complex patient care issues.
* Collaborating with the medical staff in managing pre-emergent and emergent patient care situations, which may involve terminating a stress test when patient is in distress.
Salary Range: $60.79 -$91.97/ Hourly
QualificationsRequired
* Current California RN License
* Bachelor's degree in nursing
* Three years ER, Acute Care or Urgent Care and Pediatric Experience
* Knowledge of the Adult and Pediatric patient population and practice operations
* Knowledge of all aspects procedures and medication administration in an urgent care setting.
* Ability to assume direct involvement and provide backup support during clinic emergencies and in patient related problem solving.
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through for multiple patient treatments
* Phlebotomy and IV skills
* Possession of current BCLS and ACLS certification
* Skill in performing with frequent interruptions an/or distractions including the ability to accept equivocal circumstances and respond and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
* Ability to utilize appropriate interpersonal skills in all interactions
* Ability to accept direction and promptly follow through on other duties as assigned with minimal supervision
* Possession of PICC line certification
* Knowledge and skill in Central line Catheter management and access
* Experience and knowledge to accurately screen and triage acute patients
* Knowledge and experience to recognize abnormal laboratory values and respond
* Skill in usage of medical diagnostic equipment, as well as working knowledge of instruments and supplies required to perform necessary blood tests and procedures
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, peers, physicians and administrators.
* Skill in listening perceptively, conveying awareness and responding to patients and visitors with health concerns using tact and discretion
* Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and general public in a high volume, clinical setting
* Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference, and hostility Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with sensitive and confidential information using discretion and judgment.
* Working knowledge of the UCLA registration system, appointment scheduling system and order entry system
