Director of Bone Health at UCSF
Endocrinology and Metabolism
The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the UCSF Department of Medicine is seeking to recruit a full-time faculty member to serve as the Director of Bone Health at UCSF. UCSF is a leading destination for the treatment of patients with diseases of the skeleton. Attendant with highly specialized care is the need to coordinate clinical services focused on providing world-class care for these patients.
The new Director will be embedded within the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and work closely with orthopedics, general medicine, pediatrics, genetics, nephrology, and radiology, across the UCSF hospitals located at Parnassus Heights, Mt. Zion, and Mission Bay.
Additional elements of the position include direct patient care; supervision and teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students in areas of endocrinology and metabolism. Candidates with research programs are also encouraged to apply. Funds are available to provide packages to grow and/or maintain the individual's research focus.
The aim is to recruit a successful candidate at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the HS Clinical or Clinical X series, depending on qualifications and interests.
Requirements:
Candidates must hold an MD (or equivalent) degree or MD/PhD (or equivalent) degrees and appropriate board certifications (Internal Medicine; Endocrinology & Metabolism; Orthopedics).
