To assist students with documented disabilities registered with the Office of Accessibility Services.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Office of Accessibility Services.
- Greet and assist office visitors, answer general questions, answer phones, respond to and send emails, scan, file, shred, run errands, and perform any other assigned duties.
- Administering, monitoring, and proctoring assessments with academic integrity.
- Conversion of textbooks into alternative accessible formats using various technologies.
- Providing approved accommodations during testing as indicated on a student’s Letter of Accommodation.
- Given the nature of some accommodations, the selected candidate must exhibit proficient communication skills, particularly in speaking and writing the English language.
- Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to demonstrate proficiency.
Vital responsibilities include:
- Strict adherence to legal requirements surrounding confidentiality of student information and ethical responsibilities regarding access to exams.
- Availability to work until the end of finals week.
