The Biology Program within the School of Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) is seeking a laboratory manager and instructor. This is a 12-month position which is split position with 50% of duties as a laboratory manager and 50% as a non-tenure track instructor. The laboratory manager will oversee day-to-day operations of a biomedical research and instrument core facility and will be responsible for equipment operation, maintenance, and training in addition to other laboratory management duties. The instructor component will involve teaching in undergraduate courses in the School of Sciences (courses to be determined) and/or assisting in new course development.
Minimum qualifications: M.S. in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry and experience with molecular biology laboratory instrumentation.
Ideal candidate will have experience operating a wide range of laboratory instrumentation used in molecular biology and biochemistry research.
