To function as a project team leader with responsibilities in the areas of new system development and major modifications to existing systems, implementation of vendor applications, and maintenance of existing systems. NEW SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND MAJOR MODIFICATION TO EXISTING SYSTEM
Develop specification and design for new systems and for modification of existing systems.
Develop, test and integrate the various components of an application into a total operational system.
Document the system and coordinate implementation with the user department.
IMPLEMENTATION OF VENDOR DEVELOPED APPLICATION SYSTEMS
Participate in staff training (both user and technical) related to the system, and obtain a working knowledge of the system and concepts through independent and group study of technical and user documentation and system components. Become familiar with data base structure, tables, forms, objects and processing rules pertaining to the system.
Develop required interfaces with other production systems as related to generation of initial data and ongoing support.
Communicate with user departments regarding system definitions, procedures, schedules, and outputs.
Coordinate and perform maintenance related to new BANNER releases and vendor changes.
MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING SYSTEMS
Reviews user requests for changes or enhancements to existing systems and performs tasks as appropriate.
Provide technical support to Banner functional users. Support functional users in defining reports, procedures and interfaces in the Banner environment.
Performs other duties as required.
Computer-related Bachelor's degree
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to work productively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with developing and maintaining lifecycle programming projects for large scale program implementations.
Working knowledge or training in SQL, PL/SQL and database reporting tools.
Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly and with minimum support and guidance.
