The University of Maine is in the initial stages of a multi-year major capital program, including new construction and major renovation of academic, research, student life and infrastructure facilities; significant expansion of campus planning and space management processes; and significant expansion and development of its existing space inventory & space management systems.
Provides support to the Director of Space & Capital Management Services, University Planner, Project Managers, and Engineering Center on capital project development, space planning issues related to programming and financial feasibility, and oversight of space inventory and needs.
As part of the UMaine Facility Management team, the University Designer/Architect & Space Manager assists the Director of Space & Capital Management Services with all elements of the university community, including College Deans & Senior Administration; with external contractors and others to facilitate the University’s capital and campus planning activities, the planning and execution of university capital projects, and infrastructure improvements. Typical hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
