Adjunct Nursing, Helena College

Helena College University of Montana a comprehensive two-year college, supports our diverse community by providing the paths and tools necessary to assist learners in achieving their educational and career goals. Helena College Nursing Department is seeking qualified applicants who wish to become part of a dynamic and creative team to serve our students as Nursing Adjunct Instructors for the Spring 2023 semester. These are part-time, non-benefited positions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Instructors are needed for the following areas:

LPN Didactic Instructor

• To teach a 2-credit course in Geriatric and Community Nursing in the LPN program. This course is offered in a virtual blended form. Instruction will occur once a week via Outlook TEAMs platform. Responsible for creating and delivering lectures, learning activities, and exams to help student meet the course and program learning outcomes.

• Experience in geriatrics or medical surgical nursing required. Prior teaching in higher education preferred.

Clinical Resource Registered Nurse (CRRN)

• To teach in the clinical setting for geriatrics (LPN), Med-surg (RN), and/or Mental Health (RN) in our nursing programs.
• These positions provide oversite and instruction to nursing students providing direct patient care to hospitalized clients in the clinical setting.
• Part-time (8-16 hours/week), non-benefitted
• LPN geriatric clinical positions available in the Helena, MT and Hamilton, MT areas
• RN Med-surg and Mental Health clinical positions in Helena.

Minimum Qualifications

Unencumbered Montana RN license. BSN required. Two years minimum RN clinical experience in Med surg or long-term care setting.

Salary Information

Didactic Instructor position-$750 per credit for this 2-credit course.

CRRN clinical instructor-$29.16 to 32.40 per hour depending on education and experience.
