Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant 3, Greenspun College of Urban Affairs [R0140994]. ROLE of the POSITION The Greenspun College of Urban Affairs is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 that will facilitate essential Business and Finance coordination for the College. This position will work with the Assistant Business Manager for Finance and Business on essential operational functions and business processes in Workday such as the following: Maintain billing for units (mail, phone, Xerox, water, etc.) Process expense reports, supplier invoice requests, Independent Contractor Service Agreement (ICSA) Process Journal Vouchers for college Process student and Faculty reimbursements Assist with post grant processing Scholarship process – create MTFs and rosters for processing through SFS and the Foundation Depositing and tracking of gift funds Provide account updates and balances as needed for each unit Maintain internal budget tracking system for each unit Backup Assistant Business Manager for Budget and Finance and other dean’s office administrative assistants as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. "Step" means the number assigned by the Division of Human Resource Management to identify a specific rate of pay within a grade.
