The Aquatics Coordinator assists in the management of the aquatics facilities, activities and events within the Rolfs Aquatic Center. This position has direct responsibility to maintain the lifeguard program.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety in and around the natatorium and compliance with risk management and safety protocols, procedures and follow any national, state and county standards.
- Oversee lifeguard program by recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling and supervising. Lead all new staff onboarding and monthly in-service to cover ComplyND training, EAP, fitness and upcoming events.
- Schedule and supervise evening and weekend staff. Work with outside groups, vendors and communicate with the Rolfs Aquatic staff coaches.
- Assist Aquatics Manager in planning and facilitating outside groups and events management, including staffing, facility set ups, pool change overs and running every facet of hosting a myriad of events.
- Serve on Rolfs Aquatic Center Safety evaluation team to maintain a high level of care for our users.
- Assist with any cleaning around the pool deck and help during annual close down maintenance duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- At least one year of related experience required
- Must be knowledgeable of pool operations
- Familiarity with American Red Cross Lifeguard
- Knowledge Microsoft Office applications and Google
Preferred Qualifications:
- Instructor Certifications for Instructor level Lifeguard (LGI), CPR, First Aid, and CPO
- Knowledge of Colorado Timing System 6, Hytek Meet Manager and DiveMeets
