Job Description---
The Center for Institutional Data Exchange and Analysis (C-IDEA) is a department within University of Oklahoma Outreach. Our main responsibilities are to coordinate the Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange (CSRDE). We work with higher education professionals across the U.S. and Canada to provide resources for helping their students remain in college and graduate. The majority of our work includes publishing three national reports, hosting the annual National Symposium on Student Retention, and hosting monthly webinars. We are also the Program Evaluator for an NSF grant.

The person in this position serves as our Data Manager.

Primary Duties:

  • Data collection and reporting process for three national reports: create survey templates. collect survey data. edit data, with heavy emphasis on quality control. conduct analysis by updating Access queries/SPSS scripts. report data
  • Edit and analyze grant data, with heavy emphasis on quality control, and help prepare annual evaluation report
  • Update and maintain databases and online reporting system for three reports
  • Correspond with higher education professionals about data concerns
  • Create surveys in Qualtrics and analyze results
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements---
Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:

  • 18-24 months of relevant data management and analysis

Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced Access skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to work collaboratively with team as well as independently
  • Experience in creating and maintaining databases
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and quantitative abilities
  • Competence in presenting analysis in charts and comprehensive non-technical reports
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and write clear, concise English
  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions

Departmental Preferences:

  • Master's degree in relevant field and institutional research experience
  • Experience with Qualtrics
  • Some Dreamweaver skills
  • Experience with VBA, SQL, and SPSS

Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
