The Training Coordinator will coordinate training and provide quality checks for the Professional Development Approval System (PDAS). This position will work with the Curriculum Coordinator to review all materials and make minor edits prior to publication. Occasional travel may be necessary requiring reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. The Training Coordinator reports to the PDAS Project Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement quality check points for adult training curricula
  • Develop quality standards checklists to use in PDAS projects and online systems
  • Test functionality for new development in the Oklahoma Professional Development Registry.
  • Review and provide feedback on work products as directed
  • Document and communicate irregular data to Project Director.
  • Ensure all branding and copyright is correct in publications and online sites.
  • Reviews content and format of courses
  • Assist with minor edits and draft reviews during curriculum development and revision.
  • Answers questions via phone, email and in person regarding PDAS and specific Center for Early Childhood Professional Development (CECPD) sponsored training
  • Work and collaborate with staff, leadership, partners, and the campus community.
  • Track data and activities as directed by supervisor
  • Develop reports as needed by Project Director
  • Participate in scheduled team and centerwide meetings and required OU Outreach events
  • Submit time certification and distribution forms monthly
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements


Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree

  • 6 months experience in early childhood, elementary, or professional programs

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 54 months of related experience.

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for completion of assignments
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Computer and research skills
  • Ability to perform highly detailed work

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Crouch, pull, push, reach, move, feel, touch, engage in repetitive motions
  • Communicate, including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others
  • See, including color, depth perception, and clarity
  • Hear including receiving detailed information orally

Department Preferences:

  • Experience with adult education learning development or professional development systems
  • Familiar with basic publication design principles
  • Skills with the internet and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
