Purpose
This 30-hour-per-week position will provide support to the University and community at large to enhance language instruction.
Responsibilities
- Administer, coordinate, and market the TLC's Summer Language Institute. Host information webinars, draft communications, and update social media. Organize student housing, language offerings, admission, and orientations. Coordinate events and lectures related to each language track, including: travel arrangements, catering, space reservations, and all accompanying documentation. Collect, organize and disseminate training materials for program staff.
- Coordinate arrangements for TLC and COERLL guest lectures, workshops, conferences and other events, including: travel arrangements, catering, space reservations, and other related duties. Market and advertise events to the university, community, and other target audiences. Maintain and update electronic and postal mailing lists.
- Assist with budgeting and financial management of all program activities.
- Develop and implement standards for attainment of program goals and objectives. Recommend new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities, especially in regard to incorporating technology into foreign language education.
- Supervise student employees as needed for additional program support.
- Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed and at least 5 years of experience in program administration or program coordination.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience in program administration or program coordination, or doctoral degree and at least 1 year of experience in program administration or program coordination.
Salary Range
$62,000 (Prorated based on 30 hours per week: $46,500) depending on qualifications
