Salary
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours per Week
Exempt Position: 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions
Under general direction of the Registrar, the Associate Registrar will organize and supervise daily operations related to student Academic Records, Graduation Coordination and Special Projects for the undergraduate and graduate student populations. The Associate Registrar will also assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the University to ensure efficiency and maintain compliance with University policies and state and federal regulations.
- Oversees the maintenance of the academic records for all current and former students.
- Supervision of the Graduation coordination office, including a Senior Registrar Officer and Registrar officer I.
- Oversees the graduation clearance process and provides support for graduation related end of term processing.
- In conjunction with Student Affairs, coordinates and assists with University commencement activities related to both Undergraduate and Graduate students.
- Assists the University Registrar in developing office policies and procedures for registration and records operations.
- As a member of the office's leadership team, provides leadership and develops recommendations for implementing technologies in support of enhanced services.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Five years of experience in student information operation or related area.
- Six years of experience managing or supervising one or more units within Enrollment Management area or six years of experience managing and supervising multiple units within a Registrar's Office.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; knowledge of customer service-based operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Strong understanding of FERPA regulations.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Working Conditions
Working Conditions:
- Office Environment.
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
- After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Exerts up to 25 lbs. of force - occasional.
This position will be primarily located on the UTSA Main Campus.
Work Modality:
Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
