Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
Part-time faculty & grant coordinator position. Develops curriculum content, mentors students, and manages the Justice System and Involved Youth (JSIY) grant program.
Collaborates with PI / coPI to carry out project scope and objectives as defined in project grant. Maintains and monitors project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
This position is grant-funded.
- Provide course development and content for mentoring graduate student.
- Provide academic advising and mentoring for grant recipients.
- Develop and teach academic content to support students in OT and MSW programs.
- Assist in student recruitment.
- Use innovative instruction and online technology in development and delivery of content.
- Conduct student evaluations and provide opportunities for learning.
- Monitor student progress and assist with resolving student issues.
- Provide leadership for mentorship, academics, and job readiness skills.
- Ensure academic quality of content and deliver in a positive educational environment.
- Coordinate data collection to meet deadlines for grant requirements.
- Provide distance education and develop resources for grant recipients.
- Creates annual and quarterly reports.
- Monitors grant budget and expenditures.
- Develop and maintain participant tracking system and surveys.
- This role will work closely with all grant team members to carry out research projects and communicate results.
- Ensures project deadlines are met. Determines project changes. Collaborates with project manager to develop project strategies.
- Key required skills include a demonstrated interest and ability in scientific writing to communicate research methods, context within existing literature and research results in well-written prose as well as visual formats.
- Organizes, attends, and participates in stakeholder meetings. Documents and follows up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Prepares necessary presentation materials for meetings.

- Bachelor’s Degree in related area.
- One (1) or more years of relevant experience and / or equivalent experience / training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of clinical research principles and research design.
- Must have good organizational skills to complete work in a timely, accurate manner.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer office software.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, departments, and others.
- Two (2) years’ project coordination and related experience.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Work Environment / Work Week / Travel :
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work performed during standard business hours. Overtime may be necessary based on business needs.
Hiring Range $15,000.00 - $35,000.00 per term. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
