Job Description:
The Career Consultant will work collaboratively with the other members of the Career Services team to provide direct career development services to students (undergraduate and graduate) and alumni. Conduct in-person and virtual 1:1 and group student appointments; design, deliver and evaluate workshops and presentations in classrooms and beyond; and strategically collaborate with colleagues in the office and across campus to provide comprehensive career-related programming. Administer and review career assessments with students related to major and career exploration. Other areas of consultation include: CV/resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skill development, experiential learning, job search strategies and graduate and professional school applications. Work proactively with the Internship and Employer Development team to strategically market employer networking and recruitment opportunities. Act as a trusted-consultant/liaison to assigned colleges and programs. Actively collaborate on special projects and programs and represent Career Services at university events. Contribute significant, relevant content and ideas for the Career Services social media accounts and the Career Services website.
Provide student and alumni consultation appointments in person and via phone, email and virtual platforms (e.g., Teams, Webex, Blackboard)
Conduct impactful, interactive classroom presentations, workshops and other forms of student engagement and outreach activities to create exceptionally readied students for careers and professions
Strategically consult with internal and external constituents on career development programming and planning
Actively participate in Career Services signature and special events and other department initiatives throughout the year

Master's degree preferred in student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, or related area with minimum 1 year of relevant experience
