Job Summary
The Digital Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and tracking all details of assigned digital projects, pro-actively communicating status to clients, and managing their expectations. Due to the high volume of projects, the DPM must feel comfortable juggling deadlines and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The DPM will collaborate with the entire Digital team, as well as all external stakeholders in any given project. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a great communicator, positive and proactive. Experience working with clients and/or collaborating with other people is a must. The Digital department is a service to the University, and a customer-service mentality is critical.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate & manage day-to-day projects & tasks in Asana, ensuring their on-time execution. Ensure tasks are clear, specific and include all pertinent details for successful completion (including Assignee, Due Date & Estimated Time).
- Track projects progress, in order to report on Digital teams workload and annual completion rate.
- Actively participate in weekly Standup meetings with Digital team to ensure alignment, provide guidance, and address any issues or roadblocks.
- Communicate any delivery date changes pro-actively to clients.
- Work with Content Specialist & Designer/Developer(s) to track and communicate review/approval feedback with client. Keep client pro-actively updated on project status.
- Meet regularly with clients & Digital team to review project status and approval.
- Create open & responsive communication with clients in the channel of their choice(s), including Teams, Slack or email.
- Have strong understanding of our CMS , to help developers determine project scope.
- Create or migrate webpages in a content management system as directed.
- Actively review/update stage websites before site is pushed to production.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisor and project team and must be able to work collaboratively or independently with minimal direction.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelors degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Department Specific Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or 2-4 years of equivalent practical experience.
- Proven web project management experience, managing complex digital projects from initiation through completion.
- Understanding of information architecture and user experience design.
- Demonstrated experience with analysis and remediation of web-related accessibility issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently, as well as with teams.
- Experience working in higher education or other complex nonprofit entities.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned.
- Ability and eagerness to identify and address opportunities and needs without specific direction.
- Experience working within a creative, marketing and/or communications team using a variety of project management approaches.

Preferences
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and user-centered design is a plus.
- Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress (or similar).
- Experience with Adobe products, such as Photoshop (image editing).
