Marketing Specialist – FULL TIME – Charlottesville, VA
SUMMARY:
The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the overall daily operations of the Marketing Department in meeting the branding, marketing and communication needs of the Credit Union. This position uses hands-on graphic design and marketing skills to support the daily operations. The Marketing Specialist helps lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and programs designed to meet organizational objectives and growth goals. This includes programs and campaigns in a variety of media designed to drive growth of the credit union’s personal/business membership, product adoption/penetration and markets/marketplaces.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Represent the Credit Union mission, vision, and values to achieve our membership growth as well as community growth.
- Develop strong relationships with line of business partners and other marketing team members to ensure collaborative working relationship with day to day support and execution of creative deliverables.
- Develop both ground-up campaigns and update existing content and creative, delivering thoughtful solutions for a wide range of marketing initiatives from brief to execution.
- Work with the marketing team and/or business partners on creating marketing collateral, both print and digital, managing creative assets and maintaining brand standards and brand consistency across all forms of media. Examples of collateral include; print brochures, direct mail, event collateral, forms, letters, digital signage, web and email design, social media, paid media, and more.
- Drive the execution of the approval process, including uploading of all final marketing and creative assets.
- Develop content and design creative pieces that are specific to a targeted/segmented audience and adapt creative when targeting multiple segments throughout the Credit Union’s various communication channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support the creation and delivery of various materials to include webpage edits, intranet pages, videos, online and mobile app, social media and blog content, as well as email and trigger email communications to elevate the Credit Union’s brand presence and core offerings.
- Remain abreast of technological advances/trends in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization.
- Help to manage external events, with a large emphasis on college sports related events through the planning lifecycle and ensuring necessary adjustments are made to meet established budgets, goals and timelines.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Advertising, or related field or equivalent in experience
- One year or more related experience supporting multiple concurrent projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bank marketing experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
