The Department of Medicine’s Division of Cardiology has an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary (6-Month, Fixed-Duration, Part-Time (50% FTE)) Fiscal Specialist 1.
The Division of Cardiology is a large, complex Division in the Department of Medicine with over 200 faculty, 31 fellows and over 100 professional, classified and hourly employees spread across multiple campuses. The Division of Cardiology physicians address the prevention and treatment of heart and vascular disease through the investigation of new technologies, drugs, and devices that ultimately translate into best practices and improvement of patient care.
Under the general direction of the Cardiology Grants & Finance Manager, the Fiscal Specialist 1 will provide a variety of moderately complex fiscal support functions for the Grants & Finance Office. The Fiscal Specialist must be able to skillfully perform transactional and analytic work within and among the budgets and within the University’s financial systems. The Fiscal Specialist interprets and applies rules of the University, and looks for ways to improve processes to the benefit of the customers, the Department, and the University.
