Position Summary: |
The Director of Admissions will lead UWO's recruitment and enrollment efforts including but not limited to: recruitment marketing and communications, recruitment operations, application processing, application generation, yield work, campus visits and pre-college outreach to ensure that UWO's enrollment thrives into the future.

Responsibilities |
- Report directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Marketing and oversee strategic recruitment programs, tactics, and initiatives necessary in achieving the campus' annual enrollment goals.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for recruitment communications, recruitment efforts, application processing, campus visits, and yield work in creating and implementing a recruitment plan aligned with the University's enrollment plan.
- Communicate goals, progress towards goals, and barriers to performance to the AVCEMM regularly.
- Develop and administer recruitment, admissions, and communication efforts for direct from High School, CAPP, transfer, international, adult, and online students to ensure that they strategically enter and move through the admissions funnel.
- Develop, track, and assess data driven and market driven recruitment goals by student type, communicate the established goals campus wide, and hold the team accountable for the goals.
- Develop, manage, and implement the comprehensive recruitment and enrollment budget.
- Create, coordinate, assess, and improve the recruitment communications plan.
- Collaborate campus wide to develop recruitment roles and goals for the campus community.
- Collaborate with New Student Programming, Financial Aid, and other teams to ensure strong yield.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Athletics to develop and leverage the UWO brand.
- Use predictive modeling, AI, and data informed techniques and decision-making throughout the entire admissions funnel.
- Build relationships with strategic influencers including high school and college faculty and staff, alumni, and parents of prospective students.
- Understand and stay current on the recruitment and enrollment landscape in Wisconsin and the surrounding region.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively, collaboratively and in a collegial and professional manner, with students, faculty, and staff, as well as external constituents.
- Possess a personable, professional demeanor with strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience building a positive, trusting team atmosphere.
- Experience with Peoplesoft (SIS), Salesforce (CRM), and imaging systems; or similar tools.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, data analytics for predictive and prescriptive enrollment modeling.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to present dynamically to various groups including, prospective students.
- The ability to multitask, meet goals and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to the University, Division, and profession.
- Demonstrated track record of progressive leadership that is both inclusive and collaborative.
- Interest in, and commitment to, community engagement.

Qualifications |
|
Required: |
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, motivate, and supervise staff.
- Experience in the development of comprehensive recruitment and yield plans.
- Proficient with technology and its implementation into an effective recruitment plan.
- Ability, adaptability, and willingness to work flexible hours and extended days within a very fluid ever-changing environment.
- Experience and competence in managing comprehensive budgets.
- Clear understanding and background in utilizing and collecting data and analysis.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and constituents in support of campus and department mission.
- Ability and willingness to travel, including possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a vehicle for recruitment travel.

At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in admissions, enrollment planning or sales

Experience creating and implementing a recruitment or sales marketing strategy

Experience using Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management Software

Preferred: |
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
- At least six (6) years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in admissions, recruitment, outreach and marketing, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and imaging systems.
- Interest in, and commitment to, community engagement.
