Position Summary
The UW-Stevens Point Center is seeking a mental health clinician (Psychologist, LPC, LMFT, LCSW) with specific experience in working with diverse and underserved populations, e.g., GLBTQ and/or BIPOC identities. This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Counseling Center. The candidate who accepts this position will provide professional mental health counseling and consultation services for the campus community, incorporate a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students, create developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus and provide input and advocacy for university mental health policy and initiatives. They will help to create inclusive developmental programming specific to addressing the needs of diverse student groups. They will assist in the development of inclusive policies, procedures, interventions and/or education and prevention programming specifically geared toward developing relationships and/or furthering the emotional health and well-being of students with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, gender, sexual and intersectional identities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications
- This position requires valid licensure or license eligibility in the State of Wisconsin for:
Licensed Psychologist. Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse and underrepresented populations in a
clinical or programmatic setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion practices within an
organization, team, and/or campus environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education mental health setting and working with young adults
- Experience providing clinical care using teletherapy modalities

Terms of Employment
This is a Academic Staff academic year based appointment, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
