JOB TITLE:
Information Security Analyst
JOB PURPOSE:
Design and implement processes and procedures that ensure the privacy and security of university software applications and information. Work with campus users to understand their security needs and provide guidance. Ensure that users and applications are compliant with all University, federal and state regulations. Work to promote an understanding of security best practices within the campus community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in University wide projects to design and implement security practices that meet all applicable standards.
Design, implement, and maintain security within university software applications. This includes roles, permissions, application access sets that protect the privacy and security of university information.
Monitor and maintain access to enterprise applications and databases.
Automate and maintain account creation and deletion tasks to enterprise applications
Respond to access violations, stop violations, contact appropriate personnel to resolve violations; adhere to applicable University and governmental regulations and laws.
Respond and correct failures/problems with production access on a 24-hour call-out basis.
Provide research and analyses for potential fraud and application database exposures; investigate violations.
Act as a point of contact for annual audits.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Promote application database privacy, security and fraud awareness through seminars and training.
Research literature; attend meetings or conferences to stay informed and knowledgeable about new technology advances or potential application database security/fraud problems.
Perform special projects, as assigned.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must demonstrate understanding of the following:
Application access security principles and best practices
Applicable regulatory requirements such as FERPA, HIPAA, GLBA
Microsoft active directory security
Role based access control
Modernization of tasks by leveraging a variety of technology solutions. Example: Leverage API to provision users in a cloud solution.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
3 years work-related experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience managing access control in Oracle Fusion or other enterprise financial system
Experience managing access control in Oracle HCM or other enterprise HCM system
Experience managing access control in Ellucian Banner or other enterprise SIS
Experience utilizing web APIs for account management
Experience with database query languages, such as PL/SQL
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Powershell, Python, etc.
