Since 1914, UW Extension has helped Wyoming citizens and communities respond to challenges and changes. We have offices in each of the state’s 23 counties and the Wind River Indian Reservation. Although our roots are in agriculture, UW Extension has broadened its educational mission to encompass many of the contemporary challenges facing Wyoming’s people and its rural communities. UW Extension uses a team-based approach to educational program leadership. This model revolves around focus areas, which assess the needs of Wyoming citizens and communities and then select and develop educational programs around those needs.
What type of clients are served in your department (education majors, all students, faculty, staff)?
All campus customers including Faculty, Staff and Administration
Wyoming Citizens and communities across all 23 Counties and the Wind River Indian Reservation
Does your department/area provide community services with the goal to improve the quality of life for community residents or to solve a particular problem related to those residents’ needs?
Yes! We have 4 Focus Areas housed within Extension: Agriculture and Natural Resources; 4-H and Youth Development; Community, Vitality and Health; and Cent$ible Nutrition.

Pay rate or range:
$11.00/hour
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide office support to Administration Team, Associate Directors, and the Director of Extension.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answering phone calls and routing appropriately
Scanning files for appropriate retention
Identifying historical documents for retention
Data entry and record keeping
Other tasks may include, pick up of orders in town or on campus, delivery of documents on campus, scheduling conference rooms, copying, shredding, and customer service
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
: High School Diploma or GED. Agriculture majors are preferred but not required.
Experience
: Individuals who have participated in 4-H or another Extension Program are preferred.
Other requirements:
Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the
University Vehicle Use Policy

Successful completion of a satisfactory background check is required for employment.

Knowledge of record-keeping and office filing and organization methods
