Job Summary
This position will assist the Warehouse and Postal Clerks with clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. This position requires individuals to be able to repeatedly bend and regularly lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs. This position requires that an individual can occasionally lift 50-100 lbs.
Responsibilities
Assist warehouse and postal staff with receiving freight and preparing outbound freight for shipment. Distribute or deliver items to the appropriate department or person. Assist in organizing and moving warehouse supplies and materials. Use an iPad or other non-complex computer to complete work orders, sign out packages, send updates via email, and take pictures as requested or required. Move pallets of supplies from the warehouse and properly stock them in storage. Follow all previously established shipping and receiving procedures.
Required Qualifications
Possession of a valid driver's license. Must meet the University's Safety Driving standards. Must be able to pass golf cart and vehicle driving tests. Must be able to occasionally lift 50-100 lbs and regularly lift up to 50 lbs. This job requires individuals to be outside in various weather conditions. Some nights and weekends may be required, but we are willing to work with class schedules.
Proposed Salary
The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position can work up to 19 hours per week.

Conditions of Employment
Position open to all students enrolled in at least six credit hours for the Fall 2022 semester. Students with a grade point average of 2.5 and above are preferred. Students who have received a Federal Work-Study Program (FWSP) award are encouraged to apply but receipt of an FWSP financial aid package is not required to qualify for this position. Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
