Warehouse Distribution Associate

General Duties:
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using the computer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Pack outgoing package. Prepare and drop off-ship parcels for shipping.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse employees.
- Receive orders from Sales Teams and Customers, fulfill the orders and properly pack them for shipping.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and workstations neat; dusting; sweep.
- Performance other general duties as needed.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution quotas and standards.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in a team environment, follow directions and procedures, and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Active; Safety Conscious; Good communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Computer use. MS Excel and MS Word are a plus.
- Ability to work in accordance with safety requirements.
- Ability to work well with others but be self-motivated and independent at all times
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse preferred.
- Well organized, detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Good communication.
- Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time.
