What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tailor/Fitter position at Unlimited Sew All?
We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality alteration and fitting services. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in garment construction.
Hours and Pay:
- 3 Days per week; About 20 hours per week
- Your compensation is commission-based as a portion of the work successfully completed
Responsibilities:
- Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments, including but not limited to dresses, suits, pants, shirts, and jackets
- Use sewing machines, sergers, and other tools to sew, hem, stitch, and finish garments
- Assist customers with fitting sessions and provide expert advice on garment alterations
- Meet productivity targets while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tailor or similar role
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
