The University of New Mexico’s Office of Compliance, Ethics, and Equal Opportunity (CEEO) seeks a Compliance Specialist experienced in conducting investigations from start to finish, interpreting and analyzing policies, and providing technical advice in the areas of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action, Title IX, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and various other compliance areas. Responsibilities:
- Determining, gathering, and analyzing evidentiary information necessary to evaluate compliance issues
- Conducting unbiased investigations of alleged civil rights discrimination and preparing investigative reports
- Creating, developing, and delivering a range of promotional, educational, and informational programs, workshops, and resource materials related to program activities and initiatives
- Interpreting, analyzing, and advising on the application of compliance and civil rights laws and regulations in an employment and academic setting in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines, and UNM policies and procedures
The selected candidate must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team player, and must be able to multi-task and handle confidential material in a professional manner.
