Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a comprehensive health service available to all currently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located North of Johnson Center and across from the Student Union Building. It is open Monday through Friday and is closed on all weekends and UNM holidays. Services include medical appointments (scheduled and same day), counseling and psychiatry services, sexual and reproductive health, international travel health, allergy and immunization management and compliance services, sports medicine physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, lab, pharmacy and x-ray as well as health education, prevention, and promotion.
Student Health and Counseling is recruiting for a 0.70 FTE Physician who is Board Certified and has at least 3 years of experience after training. Must be flexible and available to work as needed. Primary duties are the provision of medical care to UNM students. Desirable candidate is an MD or DO experienced in primary and acute care delivered to a diverse population with a particular emphasis on, or interest in, young adult health. Work schedule may vary within the hours of 8am- 5 pm Monday through Friday.
