Master Production Scheduler

The role of the Master Production Scheduler is to ensure our PEX piping products manufactured in house are available to meet customer demand. This requires daily oversight, and determination of upcoming needs, for production scheduling and inventory levels. The Master Production Scheduler owns the 24-month Master Production Schedule (MPS) and its data integrity in Oracle. This individual works cross-functionally across departments to consider other factors inside or outside the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) that affect the MPS, including special requests, capital projects, and new product launches. The MPS leads the production schedulers and communicates the scheduling strategy to the team in order to meet corporate KPIs. This role reports to the Sr Manager, Inventory and Planning and is considered a mostly Onsite position at our North American headquarters in Apple Valley, MN and Distribution center in Lakeville. What will you do? Own of the 24-month Master Production Schedule in Oracle. Uses output from monthly IBP (Integrated Business Plan) process to manage near term production plans that meet customer demand while balancing manufacturing capacity. Leads Production Scheduling team in executing the MPS to meet corporate KPI’s. Responsible for the maintenance of pipe production data in Oracle. Uses data analysis and cross-departmental partnerships to improve schedule attainment, plant efficiency, and production flow. Leads and participates in improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools. Communicates high-level production schedule for nonconforming products (i.e. helioPEX, pre-sleeved pipe, etc.) to team and Manufacturing based on the monthly IBP output. Collaborate with raw material purchasing and inventory groups to ensure alignment with MPS and IBP. Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives What will you need? Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or Associate’s degree with comparable years of experience 3 years of experience in a supply chain or manufacturing environment Proficient at using Microsoft products; especially Excel for data analysis Experience working in an ERP system (Oracle helpful) Effective and approachable communication style Ability to work with and build rapport with a variety of people and teams throughout Uponor 3 years in a leadership role, preferred CPIM, CSCP desirable What will you get?
