Job Summary:
The Part-time Representative addresses security and the quality of services that impact UPS and its customers. He/She monitors and audits security policies and procedures, assists with and conducts investigations, supports the operation and assists with ensuring compliance with government regulations. Mix of office (70%) and hub (30%)
Job Description:
A primary responsibility of this position is to audit and analyze both physical and operational security conditions. This involves inspecting physical assets (e.g., buildings, vehicles, etc.) to identify potential security issues, support the operation and reviewing various reports to identify employee dishonesty incidents and procedural breakdowns. The PT representative also observes the workforce to verify employee integrity and ensure compliance with company processes and procedures and identifies the causes of procedural and employee integrity issues to determine appropriate responses. Another core responsibility is conducting security investigations and presenting findings. The PT Security Representative investigates losses, compliance violations, and possible criminal activity. He/She analyzes research and surveillance data, interviews investigation subjects to obtain written incident statements, and prepares accurate and thorough case files. Finally, the PT Security Representative presents investigation findings to management to ensure appropriate incident responses. This position also develops, implements, and enforces security policies and procedures. This includes creating training and materials on security and loss prevention practices and conducting research on best practices.
Required Skills:

- Must be comfortable presenting Security procedures to newly hired employees.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ETT, BRIO, SEAS, ODSS, HMI, HubCam, HFCS, IRS, ARES, Customer Service Report, PLD-ULD and Flight Extract systems. (preferred)
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to build strategic relationships with diverse groups.
- Ability to deal with and address difficult situations.
- Ability to hold people accountable.
Additional Information:
Have a degree in the field or be pursuing a degree in the field or similar field of study. Flexibility to cover weekend and holiday sorts during peak and special operations. Flex Time: 30 minutes before/after.
