Job Description:
The Project Coordinator (PC) is key to the planning, facilitation, organization, and integration of information technology projects which are significant in scope and impact to UPS and its customers. The PC will coordinate work with project sponsors, IT, and business units to produce or modify software applications, back-end systems, infrastructure modernizations or other changes which are intended to deliver value or respond to regulatory/compliance requirements impacting UPS and how we do business with our customers. The role of the PC is primarily focused on defining and managing a project's scope, costs, and schedule - making sure it is achievable. Additionally, a PC is responsible for managing changes, minimizing uncertainty, and continuously making sure that stakeholders are aligned and on track.

Salary Range Estimate: Annual Salary: $74,400 to $106,020

Relationship Management:
- Central point of contact between the project sponsor and the technical community
- Promotes collaborative relationships between the Business Owners, Product Owners, Domain Architects, and IT Development
- Coordinates with stakeholders, interfacing application, system, and product teams to enable a healthy exchange of information and resource support to drive on time delivery of changes to production.
- Facilitates discussions with impacted application and system teams to gain insight into priority of work and discuss trade off options that might serve to remove resource availability constraints. Key to this process is to know when to escalate to minimize impact to project delivery.
- Provides status reporting to senior management
Product Vision:
- Works with the project sponsor and stakeholders to ensure that the initiative aligns with the overall product roadmap
- Works with the project sponsor and stakeholders to identify and manage a minimum viable product offering
- Guides team and facilitates discussions on overall vision for the project
Coordination:
- Coordinates project definition based on input from stakeholders
- Coordinates and reports estimate of cost and duration for a given initiative
- Drives and supports the sponsor's intent of the initiative
- Supports prioritization and tradeoffs of the initiative
- Provides schedule for key milestones
- Provides leadership and guidance to stakeholder team to keep Program Milestones on plan
- Supports and aligns to Agile and/or SAFe Agile methods to drive the way we work and support feature and value delivery
Requirements:
- Participate in the development of requirements, user stories and user/customer experience
- Manages the scope of requirements to align with customer needs and product objectives
Problem Resolution:
- Performs business risk/issue identification, management, and mitigation
- Documents risks and issues
- Facilitates resolution to business issues and ensure decisions align with customer and sponsor needs
- Works with the individual user SMEs on issues and implementation of resolutions
- Facilitates discussions regarding tradeoffs where needed within the funnel and cross-SDGs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with Planview Enterprise One and Project Place
- Strategic thinking / critical thinking / decision making
- Project management experience
- Experience and understanding of Agile (and SAFe Agile) Methodologies
- Purpose focused meeting facilitation
- Leadership and ability to guide teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in work experience and education
- Experience with UPS shipping systems (preferred)
- Experience with vulnerability management scanners, such as Qualys, Jfrog, etc. (preferred)
