Paint Line Associate

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Production Manager, a Production Associate- Paint employee will operate paint line equipment, package quality parts, and utilize work instructions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work requirements.
• Daily recording of viscosity test results, painter assigned, primer assigned, validate mill thickness, temperature, dew point and barometric pressure
• Operate paint sprayers, pumps, mixers, elevators, etc.
• Visually inspect threads, materials for smears, drips, and part is to print for orientation
• Verify build matches work order
• Complete final production data
• Demonstrate teamwork by assisting or relieving other operators
• Make boxes for shipment based on specs of work order
• Ensure label application is accurate to designated part for both part and the shipping box
• Maintain a clean work area with housekeeping functions
• Inspect paint build up on fans to ensure safety
• Dispose of paint containers in a safe manner

• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in person.
• Developing constructive and cooperate working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
• Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as a forklift or pallet jack.

• Keep up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.

Competencies

• Education/Experience- High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience highly desirable.
