KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
• Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
• Communicate with executives and stakeholders to keep the project aligned with their goals
• Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
• Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
• Assess ongoing performance of teams and adjust processes as needed to improve performance
• Meet with users, stakeholders, analysts, software engineers, QA testers and other project managers to understand objectives for successful delivery and facilitate the teams’ overall ability to complete the objectives
• Implement technology projects and support the resulting features in a Production environment. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• High proficiency with industry standard process and project management standards such as PMBOK and Six Sigma
• High proficiency and understanding with Agile methodologies and how to apply them in practical and productive ways
• Experience providing project management and agile process management for software development teams
• Possesses a genuine interest in improving velocity, performance and success of software development teams
• Ability to multi-task across a range of diverse projects
• Ability to work independently and in a highly virtual environment, with colleagues all over the country
• Strong technology skills and ability to master working across a range of software programs, including Microsoft Office applications, Jira, Visio
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends when required
• Willingness to cover after-hours support and software releases when needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from highly selective university
• 3 years of work experience in software development project management roles
• Industry experience in a regulated industry preferred
