Job Summary:
Provide project management guidance and technical consultation to project management staff on a program of transit facility and infrastructure design and construction projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide quality assurance reviews of all activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, resources, procurement, and risk through the full life cycle (proposal-initiation-execution/control-closeout) of transit design and construction projects.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience on all phases of engineering and construction projects, including planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction and close out.
- Guide Project Managers to develop efficient project plans, achieve quality, build positive relationships with stakeholders, and bring projects to completion on time and within budget.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field is required. Master s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field is preferred.
- Registered Professional Engineer or Registered Architect in NJ is desirable, but not required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) requirements for federally funded transit projects.
- Knowledge of NJ DCA Bureau of Construction Review process for review and release of plans.
- Understanding of National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) requirements for EIS, EA and categorical exclusions related to construction projects in NJ. Knowledge of State Historic Preservation Office reviews for historic projects in NJ.
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager on transit facility design/construction programs with construction value up to $5M, including planning, permitting, design and construction.
- Experience (10 to 20 years) with transit infrastructure/facility/building design and construction is required.
- Knowledge of project management procedures (PMI), financial management, CPM scheduling, cost control and forecasting, communications and document control.
- Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products and the ability to become competent with latest Project management software and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written
Pay Rate: $165,000 - $180,000 / year
Incentive: $2,000 sign-on bonus. 50% in your first paycheck and the remaining 50% payable following ninety (90) days of employment!
