What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Urban Exchange?
Urban Exchange Northampton is hiring an Assistant Manager! This position will report to the store owner and can grow into a Store Manager role over time.
Urban Exchange is an upscale consignment boutique in beautiful, downtown Northampton Mass. We carry a wide variety of clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories from brands like Gap all the way to Gucci. Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, training, and supervising small boutique staff.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing store appearance.
- Ensuring consignment policies and procedures are being followed.
- Resolving customer & consigner complaints.
- Pricing new consignment inventory.
- Evaluating incoming consignment to ensure quality, style, and pricing reflect store goals.
The assistant manager can have a self determined schedule, usually between 30-40 hours a week.
Previous retail customer service experience required, as well as ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift heavy objects.
