Triage RN

Urology, P.C. is looking for a professional Triage Nurse to provide professional nursing care of clinic patients, collaborating with physician/providers and the multidisciplinary team members. Provides urological support to patients, and families following established standards, and protocols.

Essential Job Duties: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)

· Regular and punctual attendance

· Screens patients for appropriate information. Answers questions to their best ability, asking a provider when needed for assistance.

· Record and update patient’s medical history and medication lists in the clinic’s EMR when changes are made

· Ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely workflow.

· Responsible for delegating and working on the emergent calls, , patient calls, triage folder, portal messages, and prescription refills

· Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patients and family regarding medication and treatment instructions as allowed by HIPAA regulations.

· Maintains patient confidentiality
