Ursa is seeking a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s Delivery Operations on a new project in Whiteland IN. The operations manager will consistently implement the company processes and practices across the operation to meet our customer promise in a safe, effective and efficient manner. The operations manager will lead the Delivery Operations team in the station, improving performance, ensuring retention and recruitment of quality delivery employees, managing fleet resources and ensuring and monitoring all compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help us remain compliant, efficient and profitable during the course of business.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of loading and rostering of routes at start of shift
- Maintain a high level of team engagement.
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Operational management systems, processes and best practices at the site
- fleet management including maintenance, registrations and compliance
- Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant with DOT and other agencies
- Recruit and select qualified DOT applicants
- Manage day to day team operations, including training, coaching and mentoring DOT drivers.
- Examine data and use it to improve performance and identify trends
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Perform quality controls and monitor performance across all metrics
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
- Seek out ways to optimize performance delivery.
Skills
- Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role or ability to demonstrate suitability of experience to our context.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience managing budgeting and cost control
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word and other common applications)
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
- Proven Leadership ability in a similar setting or capacity
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Degree in Business or equivalent experience, Operations Management or related field. 10 years equivalent experience may also be considered.

Pay: $51,292.00 - $54,290.00 per year
