Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the setup, calibrations & maintenance of optical and imaging equipment.
- Manage and operate various mechanical precision fixtures, including assembly and maintenance
- Write equipment operating manuals and maintenance procedures
- Perform tests and generate raw data, including early data review for accuracy and process the data, as needed.
- Interact with metrology group or external vendors for upgrading equipment's software & hardware
- Work with ME engineers to evaluate various tools during development stages, provide feedback and suggest improvements
- Prepare test samples and debug issues in the Lab & resolve them, perform housekeeping and organize accessories.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Strong knowledge of the information and techniques needed to test miniature electrical, mechanical, or optical devices.
- Strong ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum diploma or associate degree in engineering, science, or instrumentation.
- Experience in handling optical testers and components is highly preferred.
