What are the responsibilities and job description for the MARKETING ASSISTANT position at US Air Education and Training Command?

Duties

Must be mobile and attend FSS events after hours and weekends to offer photography support as well as live streaming and recruitment to our social media platforms. Prepares and presents briefings to base functions such as newcomers' orientation, Sheppard Start, ENJJPT orientation, Commander's Calls, etc. Attends information fairs, newcomer/welcome events, retiree events, etc. to promote 82 FSS events and activities. Maintains all 82 FSS social media content including, but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Text Marketing. Tracks user analytics for each social media platform. Continuously explores, recommends, uses and optimizes communication methods and technologies to engage with customers and to maximize the squadron's branding, products and services. Identifies relevant new strategies and technology to increase customer engagement and to create online brand exposure. Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Using standard industry practice, computer software and/or instruments specifically developed for use within Services, adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Administers surveys, focus groups, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists the Marketing Director in analyzing results. Maintains current knowledge on emerging technologies/ trends and their application to the activities. Makes recommendations to the Marketing Director on program modifications and enhancements. Assists the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Assists with the planning and execution of all aspects of Marketing Department events such as Freedom Fest and other events tasked to the department. Assists in the distribution of 82 FSS publicity materials to all activities including weekly updates to digital monitors.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of marketing policies, procedures, methods and publicity techniques. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. Must have experience developing, conducting and analyzing market research information. Must have knowledge of social media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram & Twiner. Must have advanced ability to use/knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Graphics software including Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator a plus. Ability to take well composed quality photographs with digital camera. Must have ability to read, write and speak English. Customer service skills and experience essential. Excellent time management skills including proven ability to meet deadlines.
