US Brick has a current vacancy to join our diverse and dynamic company as a Grinding Room Operator. This role will report directly to the Grinding Supervisor.
What you will be doing : Run and monitor Grinding Department machinery and conveyors Sweep and clean work area, empty hoppers, run forklift, paint as needed, Run heavy equipment- loader, backhoe, forklift Actively participate in all safety programs and training including lock out tag out Identify areas of spillage and dust emission so that we can work to lower silica exposure in department Cross training in this department is required Follow all safety, quality, production, environmental policy, and procedures Be a good team member, assisting others as needed in a helpful way Contribute to team effort by performing other assigned duties as needed The required skills and education to be successful : High school or equivalent required Manufacturing experience preferred MSHA training preferred Forklift loader backhoe experience preferred Perform light maintenance on equipment 1 years experience in manufacturing preferred Able to perform various forms of physical labor 50 lbs (i.

Production facilities are not climate controlled, and work is outdoors and indoors in all types of weather conditions and work environments.

moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles. Requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather. The incumbent may occasionally work with electrical devices and exposed to vibrations and steady level of loud noises.
