About US Cotton:
US Cotton has been in business for over 20 years. Manufacturing cotton for the beauty industry. The beauty industry is one of a few select industries untouchable by fluctuating economic impacts. We cater to any retailer who wants their own private label on cotton products and we also serve Swisher who is our largest branded client.
Everything is done in house including any art work for the packaging, the manufacturing of the cotton swabs, rounds, squares, etc. To boxes and labeling and shipping to our clients direct.
About the Retail Demand Forecast Planner:
This role is crucial in providing insights to our Supply Chain and Production Teams. Being able to communicate with internal and external clients is key. Having prior retail experience in a similar role will set someone up for success. Understanding how the retailers stock their shelves and the demand from their customers is also important to be able to help US Cotton forecast demand.
Must have prior experience with forecast and budgets. An understanding of various EAP platforms is great as well but US Cotton has their own proprietary database that this role oversees and manages.

More about the Role:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
- Develop, implement and manage collaborative forecasts for all USC articles with a goal of /- 15% error or better per current industry standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.
- Complete management of USC Forecast portal, including:
- Item set ups & deletion
- Create and monitor forecast breakouts by item and customer based on preferred shipping locations and USC production sites.
- User creation, training, and problem resolution.
- Yearly Budget creation.
- Create and maintain reports in Board Intelligence system for use by all departments of USC.
- Main point of contact for Walmart replenishment analysts including all required reporting.
- Handles special projects as assigned by sales, planning, marketing and upper management.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
4 years comparable experience working with retail customers
EDUCATION
BS Degree in related field
SKILLS
Microsoft: PowerPoint, Word, Excel (intermediate to advanced); Board Business Intelligence; US Cotton Forecast Portal; AS400-Datatex; vendor portals including but not limited to Walmart Retail Link, Shiloh, Target Partners On-Line
Must have effective interpersonal skills to deal with people at all levels of the internal organization as well as outside customers.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE
Understanding of standard forecasting logic including: seasonality profiling, roll out and end of product life planning, comparative sales analysis and forecast accuracy reporting.
