Tax Accountant

Full Job Description

Growing full-service tax firm specializing in the entertainment industry and entrepreneurs is looking for a full-time Tax Accountant in our Irvine, CA office. Looking to hire a full time Tax Accountant. Major responsibilities will be Business Tax Preparation (S-Corps, LLC-s) and Individual Tax Preparation, Tax Resolution, and Bookkeeping. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks to complete detailed projects within strict deadlines.

Responsibilities will include:

• Individual & Corporate tax preparation (clients tend to be investment clients)

• Responding to clients in a timely matter and helping out with tax administrative tasks.
• Bookkeeping for limited clients.

• Research tax related questions and issues.
• Tax Resolution
• Scan documents, creating and maintaining electronic files.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Associate in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience (Required)
• Bachelors (Preferred)
• QuickBooks: 3 years (Preferred)
• Accounting/Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
• Tax Experience: 3 full tax season in corporate and individual tax (Preferred)
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (If a CTEC – we would require at least 5 years' experience)

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized under deadlines.
• Current understanding of tax law and accounting functions.
• Willingness to work increased hours during peak cycles.
• Must have a self-starter attitude and great organizational skills.
• Have a passion for Tax
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
