Job Description
We are currently looking for a qualified Crew Leader for this location. The Crew Leader must be a good manager/trainer who can ensure a high level of service at all times for our customers. He or she will be in charge of quality control, training, scheduling, and running all aspects of his/her assigned crew. The Crew Leader must ensure that team members follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines when performing any/all tasks assigned.
The ideal candidate has the skills and experience to perform all related duties, as described in the Responsibilities section. Candidates must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job, which includes working outdoors in all conditions. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Presents a professional image through proper employee actions and by wearing the approved uniform
- Responds with a positive, responsive, and flexible attitude to customers and ensures all requests have been completed satisfactorily, escalating to the Owner/Manager when needed
- Keeps the Owner/Manager aware of all customer concerns and communication on the job site
- Inspects site and advises customers of potential liabilities
- Schedules workload for the next day, preparing and securing all materials, tools, and equipment
- Assigns tasks to crew members and follows up to make sure that work was completed properly
- Ensures that all crew members report to work on time and follow all company rules and procedures, taking appropriate disciplinary actions as necessary
- Trains and certifies crews using company materials, which includes training crew members in Crew Leader’s role for future growth
- Evaluates the performance of the crew and helps Owner/Manager with performance reviews
- Monitors goals based on the evaluation process
- Maintains and promotes safe working conditions in the field at all times to ensure zero preventable accidents, which includes wearing and maintaining the required PPE at all times
- Follows company procedures on discipline if any safety rules are broken
- Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, and trailers or other items are maintained in proper working and are clean and neat and present a professional image
- Maintains and secures equipment and is accountable for neglect and abuse of assigned equipment
- Implements Quality Control in the field as directed by Owner/Manager
- Maintains all jobs to bid specifications and ensures customer satisfaction (internal and external)
- Keeps Owner/Manager aware of any irrigation repairs needed
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to read and write
- Valid driver's license and good driving record preferred
- Must be able to organize and implement work schedule
- Must be able to lift or move up to 60 pounds and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
- Must be willing and able to work in an environment that includes exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
