Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company has an opening for a Cashier at our Woodland Park, CO location. The Cashier will receive cash or credit payment from Customers for merchandise or services purchased from Store or Yard. Provide customers with a shopping atmosphere that is well maintained, clean, organized and safe.
The pay range for this position is $15.60/hr - $21.60/hr depending on experience.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Qualifications
Good interpersonal, communication and Customer Service skills are necessary. Knowledge of building materials (especially hardlines) products is desirable. Ability to operate cash register (computer) equipment and applicable programs is required.

- Verify and count cash in drawer at opening and closing of the day.
- Operate cash register to compute merchandise tickets showing amount due, make change, cash checks, and issue receipts to customers. Issue refunds or credit as necessary for returned merchandise.
- Provide quality Customer Service through positive interaction with Customers in person and on the telephone. Assist Customers with questions regarding merchandise characteristics, location in store, pricing and promotions. Record want slips, inventory condition, etc. Refer store credit applications and bad checks to Store Operations Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of the store and product displays for advertised events and promotions.
- Accept returned merchandise by verifying documents and merchandise. Process refunds, credits and exchanges according to Company procedures to assure customer satisfaction and accurate accounting of inventory. Coordinate with receiving/warehouse to restock returned merchandise.
- Maintain a clean store environment including doors, floors, windows, ceilings, restrooms and work stations. Clean and dust products and displays and face the products. Ensure aisles and other areas are clear of obstacles to allow customers to shop easily and safely.
- Attend and participate in all Company sponsored training programs as required.
- Perform any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.
