Job Summary:
NILCO IS CURRENTLY SEEKING WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE TO JOIN OUR BRANCH LOCATED IN HEATH, OH.

Responsible, at various points, for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other Associates and productively with little supervision. Individuals must follow U.S. Lumber safety policies and procedures at all times.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
- Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
- Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
- Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required work load.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
- Follow U.S. Lumber safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.

Physical Job Requirements:
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items:
- Requires the ability to consistently, and often, lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Responding to public address system announcements, directions from supervisors and managers, warning alarms from other fork lift drivers
- Walking and carrying merchandise
- Requires moving around the warehouse to assist others or moving merchandise themselves
- Identify and read tickets, SKU’s, UPC labels and reports
- Requires recognizing, identifying and using merchandise and necessary reports.
- Gripping used to operate machinery or hand tools
Environmental Job Requirements:
- Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the Warehouse, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing uneven walking surfaces.
- Warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy.
- Fluctuations of temperature are common; some outdoor exposure during the workday.
- Wet floors may occur during rainy or snowy weather or at other times depending on what has transpired in the environment (i.e. cleaning of floors…)
- Sharp and/or rough edges will typically be encountered
- Warehouse equipment and treated lumber may emit fumes
- Some equipment may require electric voltage.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

Required credentials
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
- Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
- Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
- Must have basic math and analytical skills
- Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is preferred.
- Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
